I currently work at a daycare agency that is looking for a receptionist to join the staff temporarily on a part-time basis, on maternity leave until October 2023.

You are a new role

You will work in Geelong, Monday to Friday, from 2.30pm to 6pm. As a Receptionist, you will be responsible for meeting and receiving parents, guardians and guardians, providing general reception and customer service services for the Center. Responsibilities will include:

Promptly and courteously welcome children, families, educators, students, and visitors to the center

Provide administrative tasks to assist in the proper functioning of the Services in accordance with relevant regulations, policies and procedures

Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, educators, staff and management to achieve the best outcomes for families and children

Support in areas such as enrollment, finances, compliance with the Family Assistance Act, and childcare benefits

What do you need to succeed?

To be a successful receptionist, you need to:

Available immediately through October 2023

Customer service and/or administrative experience (ideally in day care or community day care)

IT proficiency, including MS Office

Excellent written and oral communication

Valid Employer Working Child Check (WWCC)

They are looking for a friendly and professional receptionist to manage the front desk and provide excellent customer service. As the company’s first point of contact, the Receptionist will welcome visitors and answer questions, ensuring that customers have a positive first impression of the organization.

Estimated Entry Date: Effective immediately.

Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome visitors in a courteous and professional manner

Answer calls and transfer them to the appropriate department or employee

Deal with customer, customer and vendor inquiries

Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for teams

Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail and packages

Make sure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.

Assist with general administrative tasks such as data entry and filing

Manage visitor check-in and check-out processes and maintain security records

Perform other duties assigned by management

Basic pattern:

Proven experience as a receptionist or similar role

Must have full-time employment legislation and be available full-time

Strong customer service capability

Excellent oral and written communication skills;

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
